obviously BUT Alice In Wonderland which was in in actuality a sequal and wasn't very pretty. She chopped a freaking dragons head off...

still Disney, Grimm's fairly tales are quite grim themselves. in Cinderella one of the evil step sisters chop off her own toes so the glass slippers fit her feet, for example

And in the story The Little Mermaid, the mermaid felt pain everytime she walked, like she was being stabbed and died at the end.

One of the original French versions of Little Red Riding Hood involves her eating her grandmother's flesh after the wolf gave her "meat" to eat and Riding Hood didn't know the wolf had killed her grandmother and cut flesh of her.


I love all the original fairy tales. Better than all the happily ever after Disney rubbish I think the film might be good if they do it well. Just stick to story and not add anything stupid.

I didn't think there'd be a hollywood live action film. I know there have been several made-for-tv live action movies and some of them were really good.

I did see one that was broadcast on Chiller once. Never thought to check it out. Besides shit thats been done over there doesn't come here alot.
