May there always be work for your hands to do;

May your purse always hold a coin or two;

May the sun always shine on your windowpane;

May a rainbow be certain to follow each rain;

May the hand of a friend always be near you;

May God fill your heart with gladness to cheer you.

The horsemen pursuing me
across round Magh Cobha,
no cast from them reaches
me though my back.

Going through Ivy Trees -
I conceal it not, O warrior -
like a good cast of spear
I went with the wind.

O little fawn, O long- legged one,
I was able to catch thee
riding upon thee
from one peak to another.

From Carn Cornan of the contests
to the summit of Sliabh Niadh,
from the summit of Sliiabh Uillinne
I reach Crota Cliach.
