That's a toughie... I can understand the security reasons for it, but at the same time... that's pretty overbearing and comes off as an attack on one people.

And I don't buy the whole "refusal to assimilate" thing...

Let's see.... We cannot wear hats or sunglasses into a bank. Why should these women be allowed to be covered?

They tried to wear full-face covering on their drivers licenses here and it didn't fly.

Ya gotta show your face......

I agree w/HTC. It seems overbearing in a way. But, if you want to live in a secular country, you deal with the rules. Or don't live there...

I agree with it and no I'm not racist. I'm, just surprised that bank robbers haven't worked out that if you get dressed up like this and hold a bank in East Ham up at gunpoint, you can disappear in to the crowd in seconds and still walk past any number of cops without them even getting suspicious of you.

Its all bullshit. I can put on a crash-helmet with my face fully covered and they wont be able to recognize my face.

Just so we're clear, you're saying that the law is bullshit?
Yeah, screwed up Law. In Singapore its unlawful to use crash-helmets only inside the banks but no such thing as forbidding muslims from wearing their traditional clothes.

Bit Kelvin, if they are covering their faces with a crash helmet, how can you be sure they arn't chewing gum with their faces hidden away like that?:24:

Are hats, sunglasses, bandannas, or any other face/head covering items allowed?

Yeah, but if your not riding a motorbike...you might look a tad suspicious.:ninja

I live in an area with a large sikh population. They have to remove their turbans before they go into the RSL clubs here as your not allowed to wear hats. They have no problem as its our culture.

SO Belgium living Burqa wearers..if they want to live there...should comply..or piss off.

If I went to Afghanistan, I wouldnt be able to wander the streets in my bikini, and I would respect that as its the local law.

If you cant obey the local laws...dont go, or dont live there...simple

Thats strange. In singapore its mandatory to use crash-helmets if you ride a motorbike but Sikhs are exempted from this rule cuz of religious reasons.

Take a hard look at my statement. Its not offtopic at all. The gist here is abt laws to suit cultural diversity. Like Singapore, US ia also multi-cultural and if you gonna have laws like what u have in Belgium there will be racial riots here.
