That officer is a fucking tool. Really now... he should have something BETTER to do over looking up lawn nuisance laws and going to harass people about it.

I never would have thought that'd be an arrestable punishable 'crime'. Here, if you neglect your yard and it grows beyond a certain height, the city will come mow it and send you the bill. No ticket, no jail time. Just a bill.

Well how are they any different than this lady? If you read the article, she was arrested for refusing to give the officer her name so he can issue a ticket for not watering her lawn.
So she was arrested for not listening to an officer. just like the kids were. How is this different, besides her age?

AND, we weren't there. Who's to say that she wasn't being belligerent to the officer? If she won't even tell him her name, it doesn't seem to much of a stretch that she wasn't being very nice.

I say lock the hag up, maybe she will learn to respect the law.

Hey, I'm all for the action taken by the cops. If she doesn't like it, get an apartment or a condo that has a gardener as part of the services; then she doesn't have to worry about any yard work.

In my city, they'll cite you for having a trashy or unkempt yard.
