a little backround info for everyone...

we've only been together for about 10 months. we barely even knew each other when we found out she was pregnant. we are really two different people. i live everyday like it was going to be my last. she plans for the future ever possible moment. she is high stressed and i am chilled out, most of the time... just two totally different people "trying" to get along... i am not sure how far she will go with the whole custody thing, but judging by what i know of her, its not going to include me... i just need to find out what she can and cannot do along with what my rights are as a father... and judging from other word of mouth conversations from other fathers, i am screwed. especially in the state of virginia.

I don't think you're screwed, but I do think that you need to find that group that defends father's custody rights. I don't know the exact name of the group, but they're like a pro bono service for father's who the courts have screwed over. Google it, I think there's an office in Downtown Norfolk.

one of my bestfriends got his girlfriend prego, and they got engauged but then split, well they went through the whole deal, and needless to say what you have heard is true, the guys are always screwed in VA. after several months of hardships he found it much more economical to get married to her and stick it out!

sticken it out, not for me. i will do what it takes to be friends with her and let our daughter live a some what normal life with a father AND a mother involved. we may not live together, but she will know that we both of us are there for her. to me, thats all that matters. we both have that understanding and we will both do what it takes. i don't think its going to be brutal. we have been talking and i think i talked enough sense in her to not go the court route. i will defnintly keep track of every payment i do send her though. you can believe that!!!
