4 Different Great Blue Herons....

... is part of what I was able to shoot on my coffee drive this morning.

This is young one. Probably this years model. The weather was crappy, he was cold and wasn't about to waste any energy by flying away.





This one cruised by without me knowing it was even coming. All of a sudden it just appeared......



This one was stepping off the branch to go and do a little fishing for breakfast.

I'm glad you like 'em. I'm with you on the reflection. My first shot of it I cut about 1/2 of it off so I re-shot it making sure I got the whole thing.

Nice shots. Like the one in flight in particular.

Every once in a while one is able to scare the living crap out of me when I take a walk down back by the creek. They always seem to blend in better than I think they would, and then when they go to take off when I'm right by them...
