I had maya 6 complete on my old pc but i never managed to get around to use it properly
I have tried to use blender but the whole depth keeps messing with my head... Im a 2d guy (graphic design) lol

yeah i can draw for nothin lol.

lol it takes a different kind of person to do 3d work and get the whole depth perception thing.
the best depth perception i can do is the fake one in After Effects lol

However, the texture of the table does not look realistic at all .. You can improve that..

well i wasnt going to start out doing the scene i did i just started with a plane so eventually ill replace that with a 3d table.

i think im going to leave it plain maybe fire for the candles and a light on the wall. i have added textures to the floor and walls.

Is the lighting automatic or possible a global setting (ie the shadows) because the candles and plates don't match. The lighting on the plates is from an overhead light source, while the candles are being lit from the side. :dunno

it's global setting i wait till im done before i add lighting. it makes it easier.
