Parts of a 3D gun have been found along with a 3D printer (in the UK). This is significant because owning a gun in the UK is illegal, but when the blueprint comes out, anyone with a 3D printer can get one. No biggie in the states where everyone has a machine gun stored in the basement :jk

But in Britain, what will happen when plastic guns become widespread, can they do anything about it?

Saturday afternoon shoot in the back yard. 3D guns...who cares:24:

A gun is nothing more than a tool designed to kill that should be treated with the utmost respect. That said, although it's (gun) a tool designed to kill, you can do more with it than just what it's designed for. A general carving knife is nothing more than a tool designed to slice meat, but can also be used to kill. A car is a tool designed to get to point B from point A, but can be also used to kill. A baseball bat is a tool designed to hit baseballs...the list is endless.

What they found in the UK were actually spare parts of the printer, not from a 3d-printed gun: http://www.newstatesman.com/future-...eized-manchester-actually-spare-printer-parts. Despite what the video above might say, I still think we're quite some time away from completely 3d-printed guns. I can see parts of a gun being printed, like the clips or magazines (or whatever the thing that holds the bullets is called, I'm no gun expert).
