If the guy running things can't do his own taxes, who else can be expected to. Things should be simple enough that anybody with an 8th grade education can do their taxes....

I'd much rather pay taxes to my state coffers, then have them fund the federal budget. I think that would slow things down a lot.

I think most people would want a fair tax system - sadly I doubt it will ever happen. The ones in control like the complicated tax system. Keeps us common folk in line.

Exactly. If there was no federal tax, and the states held the exclusive power over taxes, I think change would be a lot more likely.
