Indigestion and Insomnia

I find both go well together..

But to relieve one I usually take baking soda in luke warm water ( 8 on glass and one table spoon on baking soda ) and drink it all down..

Usually settles me down and gets me sleeping again..

you cannot relax because of the burning sensation
there are many causes of indigestion and the remedy is different for each cause
you have to figure out what caused it to cure it
you can get it from drinking to much water
to much dark tea
to much acid (tomato sauce orange juice etc...)
the best remedy is maylox
but home remedies are small cup of cold milk
water unless it is cause by to much water
eat bread it will absorb the acid and keep the liquids in your stomach contained

i have those nights lately. the baking soda water thing did not really work for me. i think i just stress myself out too much, which in turn causes the heartburn and insomia, which in turn causes me to stress out more, etc etc etc LOL

I'm on daily meds for my heartburn/indigestion problems and if I skip more than a day of meds, it comes back w/ a vengeance. I can wake up w/ heartburn before I even eat or drink anything...and drinking even water can cause it, as well. Obviously I try not to miss my meds too often, LOL

Good luck, Fred...hope you got it taken care of.

Indigestion and insomnia are often linked because digestion and sleep affect each other.
Eating heavy or late meals can cause discomfort, making it harder to fall asleep. At the same time, poor sleep can disrupt digestion and increase stress, which worsens indigestion.

Indigestion can make it hard to sleep due to discomfort, bloating, or acid reflux, especially when lying down. On the other hand, poor sleep can disrupt digestion by increasing stress hormones, slowing gut function, and making the stomach more sensitive.
Stress is a common link between both. When you’re stressed, your body produces hormones that can trigger both digestive issues and sleep problems at the same time.
