so in Canada they changed the legal age of consent to have sex from 14 to 16 years old.. but the legal age for consenting to anal sex is 18... i was thinking of the ladies and thought this was weird when a co-worker brought up the whole gay thing.. so a gay man can't legally have sex until he's 18.. any opinions or thoughts to why this is? also, side note, apparently the legal notations don't REALLY apply if the sexual intercourse-havers are within 5 years. so 16 and 22 and the 22 yr old would go to jail but 16 and 21 and it's ok. not complaining. just wondering if anyone has any opinions on the law or what the law is in your country/state/province blah blah

I don't think there should be any laws regarding sex, not even in prostitution (I think that it is very wrong and it betrays every single moral I believe in, but I don't think it's the government's business).

EDIT: Except with, you know, pedophilia or something like that.
 
I see nothing wrong with 16 year old making their own decisions.

If they are not educated on pregnancy and STD's by that age, then the parents have not done their job.
 
lmao thats just like this law i just read about about unwed couples living together. Its probably an antiqued law and was never inforced... Just as I thought 19th Century LOL I believe Va was in the same article I read about unwed couples living together being illegal.
