:( or a shower! my drain is clogged bad...i tried using Drano max...then when i was rinsing it down 30 mins later it wouldnt go down...the drain is still clogged and now there is drano residue all over the tub. I tried unscrewing the stopper but it wouldnt budge. Our maintenance here takes forever too so i guess i have to get matt to clean the other tub (it has the litter box in it) so i can take a freaking shower. then again it is raining pretty hard outside...that would be kind of fun to go wash my hair in the rain haha.

i would totally snake the drain but our stopper is one of those kinds that you turn to make it go up or down...i thought i would be able to twist it up and keep twisting to pull it out, but not so. i cant get the stopper out completely!

Something like gling said, but you need a plumber to come in, or if you guys can do it yourselves, take out the toilet and use an electric snake, one that can go for a 100' or more to run all the way through the pipe that goes to the street and perhaps the other way depending on the pipe set-up involving your shower and your toilet.

It sounds like you have a blockage in your pipe that regular drain liquids won't even break down. Or if there is a Cleanout, (basically a covered, easier access to the main pipe), in the front yard where the plumber can just snake the pipe from the outside.

im not paying a plumber to fix this. its in our lease contract that the apartments should have to fix it so they are going to...just dont know how long it will take. I can't really do anything because i refuse to go anywhere near the tub because of the drano being everywhere. We have another tub but the cat box is in it and it needs to be cleaned out...i am not supposed to do it but i am thinking of just putting gloves on and doing it anyways.

I did, when I was pregnant. Just use gloves and don't touch anything. Then wash your hands. ;)

1) Do you have neighbors, friends and/or family that you can pop over to and take a shower?

2) Here in my city, if landlords are playing fuck-fuck games with renters, we have mediators that know the law and will basically drop the hammer on the lazy-ass landlords who think they can take tenants for a ride. The landlord has to guarantee, by law, that there is running water and heat in all his/her rental places.

3) Last month my showers and one toilet all backed up and there was water everywhere. I called a plumbing service, (one I had used in the past), they came out with their electric, 100+ foot snake and snaked the pipe. I sent the bill to my landlord and a few days later she sent me a check. I wish it worked that well for everyone. (I've lived here for 5 1/2 years and have only seen my landlord about 7 times and have talked to her on the phone maybe 10 times. She's flakey and tight with money, but I guess I got lucky in that she thinks I know what I'm talking about when I deal with the upkeep of the house.:))

I knew you'd follow along with that. ;)

Apple scents in the bath are good too. And the tropicals are lovely as well.
