Well that sucks Haus, one thing is for certain now though, you know where you stand with the person in question. So I guess there is some positive in it yes?

Well from what you've posted - In essence that is exactly what they did say. All you can do is 1) model correct behavior in his presense, 2) tell your friend how their behavior hurt your feelings, 3) when they deny their own behavior - let them, 4) find someone with more depth to them to spend your time with. 5) Last but not least - Don't write them off as hopefully you can shed truth into their life about what real friendship is about.

It isn't about you Haus - they obviously don't know what's truly important in life and on top of that are deficient in manners.

Is the friend male or female? What I say next depends on that answer.

Ok, then the chica sees you as a friend, totally platonic, just like you said in the OP. What she was waiting for is the potential to either, a) get asked out by a guy, potential boyfriend material, or b) go out with a female friend(s) and try to score a guy.
The girl is horny or lonely and needs a man who's more than a friend atm.
My nickel's worth.

shes married. lol

Well, why didn't ya say so? :p

Okay then the answer is modified to this,
a) her husband doesn't like her hanging with hot single guys. Maybe he used to, but maybe it bothers him now, or
b) she's unexpectedly attracted to you, and can't trust herself to be alone with you anymore, or
c) she's not really your friend.

Technically, if she is married, she has no real reason to be running around/hanging out with single men.

That's kinda old school. You want her to have a chastity belt too?
Maybe she shouldn't even talk to single guys either. God forbid if it appeared she was flirting with another man. Someone might think she was leading them on.

Happenstance, and mutually planning a "hang out session" are two totally different things.

I would think most married men would have issues with thier wife going to someones house to "hang out" by someone I mean...a single mans house.

That is not exactly a primitive concept.

I wouldn't want Amber hanging out with some dude while I was at work either. If he was a real good friend of mine, I'd be ok with it. But otherwise, hell no.
