It happens 90% of the time when I cook pasta... I am in a hurry and forget to shake the hot water off before I bit into it...

I'm always pulling something out of the oven and just barely touch the racks and get a burn! I use oven mitts too! I don't even know how I manage, but it sure does sting! In too much of a hurry too I suppose!
