Rep time to get back to the real meaning

Ok gang........ time for me to talk mod talk here. Rep handing out has been getting a little out of control lately and Im guilty of this as well, rep is suppose to be handed out to members for good posts threads etc. not just randomly because we feel like it. So try to remember next time you hand it out that thats what its for. V likes it when we follow the rules and a happy V makes a happy all of us

Ok I just thought of this... how about us top reppers actually start using it to hand out titles to members? I mean, that's a mod that the Admins have installed for us to use our reputation upon...

This whole thread brings up an interesting point.

What to give rep for?

~ Aside from Clares insanely repalicious rep the person above you thread, I usually only gave rep for things that made me laugh hysterically or if I needed to spread it around a bit to rep someone who made me laugh.

~ Good threads

~ Good informative comments/replies

~ Good debates

Is this what I'm supposed to be doing? What is rep for if it isn't used a whole lot then?

yea, rep means a lot more if you have earned it. If people just go around handing it out cause they can its just like a favoritism game. When you actualy earn your rep it means a little more to people and kinda makes you feel better about yourself.
