I would like to announce my acceptance to the University of Georgia. I am so stoked that I am getting into my state's best college experience!

If you don't know who I am, do not fret, I am the cool kid on the block...

Who else on the board is in or is getting accepted to colleges this year? Where do ya'll go to school at?

I quit putting money into it after I blew the tranny at MM&FF V6 Ford Challenge at SGMP, Cecil, GA last year. I had my 4r70w rebuilt and retuned, runsa cosistent 14.8 in full trim, and now I am saving up for college and other expenses.

Did you have any good jobs through college ouz? I want to work on campus at the library if possible, but I am thinking a restaurant = free meals and tips (but tips will suck in a college town...)

I just need to work about 10-15 hours a week for some extra income.

I worked a couple jobs while at school. One at a gas station - boring but lots of reading time, another i worked for university planning and implementation as a CAD person. Worked farming some. I made most of my money on summer internship and cooperative assignments. The university will probably offer many jobs in dining halls, bookstores, library etc. They probably pay slightly above minimum wage, atleast thats how it is here. Not bad jobs as they would around your schedule well.

hey ab. grats to the acceptance. i just finished a semester, ended up with a 4.0, dean's list, and some time to think about joined phi theta kappa... just got to keep it up through out college, and then its another 2 more years for a bachelor's, and another 2 for a master's ... and maybe, just maybe, whatever it is for a doctorate... even though, its a bit pointless for a doctorate in computer science, since the crap you learn in years 3/4 aint worth a hill of shit in 7/8 :p thats how fast this industry changes. you think dual core/quad core is big? intel had a prototype processor with 80. and they say it will be hanging around your corner shop in about 5 years... so :p

HAHA! very true on the computer science. My cousin is administrator of a local college/medical center for the state and they are paying him to get his masters in computer science! good job on the grades dude and keep it up! There's always jobs out there for people in your field now-a-days...

Congrates! That is great news!! :)

Yeah, I am completely stoked about it- I just need to work out a financial plan and balance a spreadsheet and begin applying for scholarships come Jan. 1. If possible, I want to be able to make money going through school, attain an MBA majoring in Finance then become a big shot and eventually own my own enterprise!
