I agree with Dana about the grammy's. All award ceremonies are farcical, but the grammy's particularly so.

It's not nonsense unless you actually know what you're talking about, Dana. Do you even know where reggae was born? Do you knows what ska is?

I guess they aren't worth anything for shitty artists that aren't worth a damn

Grammy's signify a lot of talent...although it's a shame that there are people out there with talent that will never be discovered. And WOW the video showed snoop in Jamaica?? You have to be fucking kidding me. That MUST make him a reggae artist since Jamaica is in the background!

Wait...so that means I am a reggae artist too! Because I'm sure there's a video of me singing some sort of reggae from when I was in Jamaica last week!

Maybe you should know the genre of music that you're talking about before you open that hole in your face

Get over yourself... If you don't like it don't listen to it. It's that fucking simplistic.

to be reggae you have to be accepted in jamaica as reggae, and seeing as hes american that will never happen

Did you watch the video before you spouted this nonsense?
do you actually know any jamaicans dana?....real jamaicans that were born there and have lived most of their lives there,i do and i know their mindset where reggae is concerned.....a jamaican sings it and its reggae, someone else tries it and call it something else, but not reggae....they dont accept other countries calling music reggae

This is Darrell's thread? Holy shit, had no idea. Well seeing you have twice as many posts as the next poster in this thread, I guess the rest of us should shut up and let you continue, Darrell would want that

rap was like punk,it was meant to be on the streets or back street clubs, not in gold plated, sold out penthouses...but punk unlike rap had the dignity to die before it got to that
there is still independent artists making real hip hop music. Just like I'm sure punk still lives in your neck of the woods in small stuffy clubs.

You're wrong. But I'm not arguing with a middle age man who knows little about the hip hop scene in America.

trust me here dana....i heard rap decades ago, when it was pretty new,it was fresh and new.no attitudes that followed with the gang culture was in it then...it was much better
