My wife left for a trip with her mother and sister on Thursday afternoon. Three nights in a row sleeping alone and I am looking forward to having her home tonight.

Know the feeling. I use to love to travel on business trips when single. Now I hate it. I'd rather get up extremely early and drive 3-5 hours for a meeting rather then spend the night away.

That said, when the wife goes away for work, I have the dogs to keep me company LOL

I hate sleeping with other people in the room. Inevitably there's snoring going on which drives me up the wall. :willy_nilly: Give me the peace and quiet of sleeping by myself. Much better.:thumbup

I can sleep alone if I know before I go to bed that I'm spending the night by myself, but I've had nights in the past where boyfriends have either fallen asleep on the sofa or, in the case of my ex on one memorable occasion, spent the night in a cell after a drunken night out, and then I always wake up between 5 and 6am.

It's like I can sense that I'm alone when I shouldn't be, so my brain helpfully wakes me up so I can do some where-the-hell-is-my-boyfriend style worrying :p

On a side note, I hate when I have to take people on plant tours including traveling.

Grown married men acting like kids because they aren't home and have "a night out" and want to stay out all night.

I cannot imagine wanting to do that myself.

I don't mind sleeping alone occassionally. It means I can spread out and take up as much bed space as I want, without hearing Zorak complaining about it.

I cannot imagine wanting to do that myself.

We had a two day oil burner training class one time in Jersey. 1st night, four married guys (we're all with the same company) go to a strip club (I went to bed after dinner seriously LOL), next day in class, a guy is missing. Lunch go back to the motel to see if we can find the guy, and the guys car is gone (but it was there when we left). The other three guys only had "recollections" of what happened AFTER they left the strip bar around 0200.

Many more stories like that.

Best thing to do is go to dinner, and then go to bed.

I sleep alone every night. I like it. But I could use a human hot water bottle to keep me warm though and hug me when I feel crap :tooth

Guess its what you are used to.

I don't mind sleeping alone, but I've shied away from close human contact for quite some time now because of shit--so it's just normal.

However, I'm starting to miss that kind of connection and closeness. There are some days now that I would kill for a nice, warm, body to hold me and snuggle in bed.

I've sworn off snuggling and cuddling. Unless its going somewhere, otherwise I wanna sleep.
