Sometimes I get calls from an Alex or Sam, say, and I think, who the fuck? Since I only call them by their surnames.

After a really bad break-up, I had my ex in my phone as "Do Not Answer", because I was afraid of him sweet-talking me into getting back together. It was sort of my reminder that I didn't want to go back there.

When I was in college, I would store people with the class we were in together first, because I found I got a lot of duplicate names. It made it easier to do group messages for projects, and also easier to clean them out of my phone when the class ended.

I still have a LOT of numbers I need to prune out of my phone. I have been using Verizon's back-up app for years, and so my contact list is enormous. Until about 6 months ago, I still had HS teachers on my phone... LOL

I kept a couple of ex's #'s in my phone over the years, but it always ended up in drunk texting. I've learned that I can't keep those kinda #'s in my phone, the only ones that are there are the ones that would laugh at a msg at 3 a.m. that says: Inm sooooo fckn durnk amd hrny

Usually I save contacts with a first name & initial of their last.. sometimes the entire name; depends really.

Usually by first name, some by first and last, I think I have a handful saved by last name only. Really, no system to it, just how I feel like entering the name when I set the contact up. Work contacts, for some reason, got saved by first and last name. I have a few saved by initials only.

I only use my cell phone in an ER (probably why it is not charged too often), so I only have a very few numbers in it. I'm an unusual person that way, maybe in a few other ways too ;)

I got it because with my terrible sense of direction when I was driving a lot more I got lost a lot and needed to call so someone could talk me thru it.

I use first and last name so their FB profile picture will pop up when they call. It also links their FB profile to my contact info, so it makes it easier to stalk people I know. :D

This is the way mine is... I always use first and last for the most part. cept for Mom is mom.... Dad used to be dad until my phone merged his home data with his work...

My dad has 3 numbers, merged together they are work, mobile and mobile. I always forget which mobile to call. I have 2 home numbers (even though I dont live with my parents, they are still under 'home' in my phone for their landline) but one is work so I dont need to ever ring that. I'm not sure why I still have it tbh.
