Wow I don't even remember how to do that...solving for just x is easy but...ya that's why I'm in social science
I'm good at stat formulas though :p

Solving that on its own isnt bad. Finding the slope and graphing it is a little more work. Thats what we were doing tonight.

I love this type of stuff. I hate teaching it to my students though. I think they are finally getting the hang of it. Now they think of them as big puzzles and enjoy doing them.

We don't have to teach them how to graph them quite yet. They start that in 7th grade here. However, I think graphing it is easier than isolating the variable.

Once you get the hang of it, it's pretty easy.

The slope is always the number in front of x. rise over run. the y intercept is always the number after x. makes it much easier when you already know what the numbers represent. When you don't, it can be a bitch.

Same except for the social part. I'm great with science, and not a fan of math without a formula. Which sucks because science requires math =[
