Friday night we went to hear a friend's band.. it was good... the one right after.. dear god I thought my ears were gonna bleed.. Went from that club to a biker bar............. I really don't like this one bar especially when I am not dressed for such places... lol.. but the band there was really good.. Came one and crashed.. no drinky for me at all..
Sat was out with MIL at the lab then shopping then supper then movie and sleep.

Sounds like somewhat of a relaxing day.
It was pretty good.. while waiting for her at the lab I had my makeup done at Shoppers.. it was a bit much for me but it looked good.
She was just getting a routine work up done.. it was awhile since she had one done. and at her age they wanted to just check her out.
All in all it was pretty good.

OK...did you ever see a pic of yourself and think "damn, I let myself go". Well, I was looking at old pics today, well, this one is only a little over a year ago, and I've been pissy all day because my belly definitely isn't that flat now and I don't know...well, I'm just pissy, I didn't think I was in good shape at the time, but now, I know I was much better then than I am now.
But I have to say that was the best summer of my life. I had just broken up with a man I was dating for 3 years, who had 4 beautiful children that I adored, (long story). I was working for his company, so I was also out of a job...I had a bit of a health scare and through a bunch of tests I found out I would never have kids. So the spring totally sucked ass and I vowed to get my head on straight by only doing what I wanted to do....that meant saying "no" to people (something I would never do in the past), living with only peace in mind...NO DRAMA, and basically I forced myself to just slow down and appreciate what I had, instead of wallowing in pity for the things I had lost.
So anyway...here's me on the beach one of those glorious days of the summer of 2010, August to be exact....I think I missed 3 or 4 days there in a span of 3 months, I even camped there a couple of nights.
Definitely one of the best times of my life...spent mostly alone reading on the beach.
But I have to say that was the best summer of my life. I had just broken up with a man I was dating for 3 years, who had 4 beautiful children that I adored, (long story). I was working for his company, so I was also out of a job...I had a bit of a health scare and through a bunch of tests I found out I would never have kids. We all have days like that. I think it's just part of the ebb and flow of life. Sometimes things are grand and you feel great... and then others you wonder how you could have ever gotten to that point after feeling so great.
