Moon rise

As I was driving home from Calgary yesterday I saw the moon rising and I thought it was rather lovely. I got this shot of it. Typical prairie shot. I love it.

If I could have found a place to pull over a bit sooner I might have gotten some neat shots of the moon when it was still touching the horizon. It was more pinkish and distorted.

If you did and without a tripod I am super envious.

By the way, I'm looking at the pic right now on one of the farm's computer and the sky looks almost teal. I don't know if that's how it shows up on anyone else's screens but that's NOT what it's supposed to look like and it's not what it looked like on my camera or on my laptop. :unsure:

I can't remember off hand what the shutter speed was but it wasn't really that slow. I took this picture just before sunset so it wasn't that dark yet...and no, I didn't use a tripod, though I did use my car as a prop.

It looks teal to me as well. What colour was it originally and why are there poles and wires in the shot? Which I like btw.....
