I critise things that happen in most countries including my own. Does that mean I hate my own country or that I actually care about what's going on? And don't give me that bull shit about this not being in the debate section, it's obvious you posted this thread, not because you wanted pictures but as a way to try and have a dig at people who agree with protests. I would say that you hate the USA more than me seeing you seem to thing your constitution is wrong and it's ok for the police to be able to abuse your fellow citizens.

Well I'll be damned. I've been paying so much attention to the national news that I completely missed Occupy San Antonio.

This is day 61 of the Occupy movement and today was the movements "Day of Action."

In New York, they tried to barricade the New York Stock Exchange, disrupt the transit system and wear suits to blend in at financial institutions according to reports.
While here in San Antonio it is just a peaceful co-existence with the city.
Local organizers say they have 30 people at the occupation at Hemisphere Plaza. That number swells at night to about 100.
Occupy San Antonio has had no confrontations with authorities. They have actually been very accommodating when asked by the city to move temporarily.
Thursday they protested the Pioneer Flour Mill with labor unions over safety issues. Later on, they plan a march through downtown, but did not disclose their destination for security reasons.
Visitors from out of town like the non-confrontational occupiers.
“I think that’s the way to do it. I think when it comes to violence it’s not going to achieve anything,” says Robert Meson who is visiting from Scotland.
Occupy San Antonio organizer Robin Center says their aim is to send their message to Congress and the government.
“We want to shut down the Federal Reserve. We believe our government should coin its own money. We should not be getting loans from private banking institutions and paying interest,” she says.

Yeah...I'll travel 8 hours each way to attend for a day.....drop everything, take the kid out of school.. What a load of crap, you can support a movement without being there.
If it was here in my town you would get you wish, but I am a long way from any capital city.

When the movements come to your town. Can you all please post pics of you at the protest. I would love to see who really supports it and who is just talking out of their ass online. That is all.
