So many girls (I'm talking 10+) that I went to high school with have gotten married recently, and I notice the wedding decor all looks very nice..except...the brides are so dark from fake tanning they look like they're slathered in barbecue sauce. They dye their hair extra dark and wear severe makeup. Some have talon claw fake nails and bling all over the place.

Otherwise their ceremonies are classy, the dresses are usually so tasteful, but everything else is a hot mess.

What the hell ever happened to natural, pretty bridal looks??? Is this a trend?
It's certainly none of my business, but I can't help but think "why would you ruin your wedding day looking like that?"

This is a Dana-esque Facebook rant thread, but I wonder if anyone else notices this. :24:

I ended up getting a sunburn the day before my wedding.. so my chest was really red.. other than that.. I just wore mascara and lip gloss..

And I have noticed the trend to fake tanning and odd coloured women on their wedding days...

Were you at my Brother's wedding too?

:ninja maybe

:D

It's just strange, I mean these girls get DARK orange tans. They go from natural looking (on them) brown hair to jet black greasy weave ringlets. Half the time I wonder if the groom starts to question if he's at the right place when she comes down the aisle :p

And it's just so odd to see so many of them looking identical, but they're not friends or anything.
Eh, it could be Michigan, we are pure class afterall :24:

I agree! lol
I'd like to think most people realize that's not a very good look, but maybe not...:humm:

Haha that too, I tend to think super fake looking dyed black hair on fair girls looks worse than bottle blonde, even.
I just don't get the extremes?? Orange and white? Orange and black? Why not natural?

For sure. So then she ends up over doing it because she is worried about it on her big day. Wedding are completely overrated IMO. Thank god my wife felt the same.

I'd never want anyone to feel bad about themselves on their wedding day, and I do hope all of these girls felt beautiful, but it's easy to be insensitive anonymously. Hey, I won't lie.

It would just be nice if women realized you don't have to overdo it to look nice. I'd want to be natural and pretty if I had a wedding, idk, maybe it's just me.

More power to the bbq sauce brides of the world ;)

We did a JP in our backyard with 20 guests... I hate crowds... especially if I am on display for any reason..
