Jar Jar Binks

After revisiting the prequel series to Star Wars (Episode I-III) I am reminded as to why I HATE the character Jar Jar Binks.

This character is almost entirely at fault for causing the Clone Wars AND the nearly making the Jedi extinct. He rambles, he babbles, he's super weak minded, etc. He didn't deserve to be the Representative for his planet, and he sure as SHIT should have never been Padme's proxy on the Senate.

He was a blessing in disguise for the Sith though. It took very little convincing from Palpatine and company, and he didn't even have to use the force. He just had to suggest that Padme would vote in such measures to give Palpatine special powers, and to prepare to deploy the clones.

This guy nearly killed the franchise for me. It was so bad that I didn't even see the Clone Wars until two days ago, and I barely finished Episode III prior to last night. Haha.

Any Jar Jar Binks fans?

I always thought the directors just threw him in there to make the movie appeal to kids and such which would = more monies.

I saw Star Wars in a theater when it first came out. Have not seen any sequals. They're all on my "eventually watch" list though.

Weird memory from that day while waiting in an extremely long line for tickets that extended outside the theater and down the sidewalk for some distance. This little kid named Scotty stuffed a marble up his nose. His mom was spazzing out and telling the kid "Sniff out, not up Scotty!" over and over. This went on for a while with her telling Scotty if he didn't "sniff out the marble" he would have to go to the hospital. The dad looked like he didn't know what to do. :willy_nilly: Finally, the distraught, hysterically crying Scotty decided he wanted to go to the hospital. As the mom picked him to head to the hospital, everyone in the movie line broke into cheers and applause.

True story I recall every time somebody brings up Star Wars. :nod:

Hahahahaha. That's a great story, and I'm sure everyone was glad he was gone. Waiting in those lines for hours on end waiting on a premier is bad enough without a kid with a marble stuffed up his nose crying the whole time.

yes ewoks were just as bad. they were the kind of teddy bear you wanted to shoot rather than cuddle.

I love jar jar binks. He is no where near as annoying as Hayden Christiansen, Natalie portman, chewbacca, ewoks etc... IMO.

I to this day maintain I much much prefer the prequel trilogy to the original star wars. It's just too.... Camp, for me. Sorry
