mozzie bites...what ya use?

i had a dentist on my beach say to use anti-antiperspirant to stop the itch. It works.

I also use Lanacane, After-bite and spit.

If i'm really lucky there is a plant here in Canada and the US with big hairy soft leaves that i use as well. Its an old Anishnabec native remedy to bug bites.

Right now, i'm covered head to toe in bites even after applying DEET daily while i was out at the beach.

Oh and i even got myself a spider bite on my hip. Not sure what sort of spiddy bit me, and i'm very happy i didn't see it happen or i would have fainted, however its HUGE!!! Fucking the size of my thumb nail. I put peroxide on that and squooze teh shit out of it...nasty. The husband thought it was cool though.... good for him.

Had a snake i was playing with bite me too... just felt like a pinch and wasn't poisonous. That was cool. My son was all worried it hurt. Little three foot frog eater...Gardner i think its called. was big for that sort of snake.

anyway... so yes, what do you use on bites?:D

i live where the state 'bird' is the mosquito! ;)

dont use anything on bites. they are gone within a few hours/the next day

ph this reminds me... my mum and step dad came out for a visit and had the new patches on that apparently the army uses.

They were these square stickers and water proof too. They said they had to put them on two hours before going out but they seemed to have worked as none of them got bit. Vit B1 i think they said, was the ingredient. Makes sense too as last year i was avid on taking my B vits and never got bit this year i've been naughty and not taken any vits so got bitten.

the skeeters here are immune to everything

although ive never heard of vit. b1 for that. gonna have to give it a try!
