When seeing blood or open flesh?

I am, I just went to the doctor today and I nearly fainted :24: Yet when I see hospital television shows, I can't stop laughing :D

No, not at all. Though broken limbs give me the shivers, especially when they're bent at odd angles or broken clean through and flopping around. :willy_nilly:

Why did you almost faint? Spill it!!

Nah I'm not squeamish...well wait, I might be. My fiance cut his finger in half and it was hanging by a little bit of skin and the bone was sticking up. That made me feel abit sick.

This is so weird, I cut my finger seriously for enough blood too pour out, a couple of years ago, I thought I had overcome the squeamish part of my life, obviously not :24:

Depends. Sometimes not at all.

... Veins, arteries, talking about how blood moves through the heart...ok I'm getting uncomfortable, squirming around, sick stomach, going to leave the thread :S

Sometimes.

It depends on where the bleeding is coming from, why bleeding is happening and how I'm feeling that day.

I can't watch a needle being put into my arm, it makes me feel faint. And if I cut myself deep I'll almost pass out. It really doesn't bother me consciously, I'm not scared at the sight of blood or anything, so I don't know why it has that affect.

I don't like it when people take pictures of their horrible injuries or an injury that has gotten infected and post it on facebook.

I'm normally on facebook when I'm eating breakfast or lunch and it really puts me off seeing horrible, pus filled wounds.

I know it's weird but I LOVE watching needles being put in my arms. Especially if blood is being taken as well. I just find it so fascinating seeing my blood fill up those containers.

I think it was because I was anticipating serious pain, thankfully the doc put local anaesthetic (but that didn't help the queasiness)

I'm not squeemish with other people's injuries, I've helped in a few emergencies and kept my cool until afterward. But as for myself, I don't do so well ;)
