Be it it's true or not it's besides the point, imo. I still thank Ssadie for making people aware as i myself don't know and have not heard of it. It's a good warning. Good precaution! Even if it doesn't/didn't happen-It can happen :ninja

Another street smart advise *especially for women* who are more weak and defenseless against strengths of criminally inclined men!

You're welcome sweetheart, that's the only reason I posted it. I've never heard it before either, and it's a little scary to think that yesterday if this had have happened to me, I would've stopped my car. The egg thing too....I k now it's common sense but reflex tells us to turn on the wipers...wow, that's scary. I'm glad that I read it too...and I'm glad I could share.:)

I don't take it to the toilet with me, but it's at arms reach usually.

Then if this ever happens to me you'd better also be at arms reach away!!! I've never even held a real gun before let alone considered using it...but I would in this case, if I had one which I don't so........I guess if I stopped I'd be dead.

With that mentality no one will ever do a kind thing for a stranger ever in their lives not because of what has happened but because of what could happen.

The off chance one day that there is to an abandoned child in a carseat and its not a gang set up, it'll be dead before anyone musters up any courage to at least check on it

What a world this has become

Firearms are an important part of American civil rights.

There are rules to weapons and as soon as you disrespect it, it will punish you.

Never pull a weapon unless you plan to use it, and never pull the trigger unless you plan to kill someone.

I don't think that anybody's saying they'd do nothing, what we're saying is that if there was an abandoned child and this was the case, 911 would be the best choice, not suicide. I agree, what has the world become when this sort of thing could happen? But know what......it does, everyday and I'd rather save that childs life than lie dead beside him/her.

Is this an episode of the Twilight Zone?

How does a fake email that's designed to prey on our emotions turn into a public service announcement?
It's not real, it didn't happen and reading this will not make you any safer. Maybe in the mind of a paranoid person this is useful information...

So if you think this is helpful, does that mean if you are driving your car down a country road at night, and you pass a car with it's headlights off, you won't flash your lights at him since it's probably a gang looking to kill the first person that flash their lights????

Gang Initiation Weekend. ( Please Read Very Important!!!)
Police officers working with the DARE program has issued this warning: If you are driving after dark and see an on-coming car with no headlights on, DO NOT FLASH YOUR LIGHTS AT THEM! This is a common Bloods gang member "initiation game" that goes like this: The new gang member under initiation drives along with no headlights, and the first car to flash their headlights at him is now his "target". He is now required to turn around and chase that car, then shoot and kill every individual in the vehicle in order to complete his initiation requirements. Police Depts. across the nation are being warned that September 23rd and 24th is the "Blood" initiation weekend. Their intent is to have all the new bloods nationwide drive around on Friday and Saturday nights with their headlights off. In order to be accepted into the gang, they have to shoot and kill all individuals in the first auto that does a courtesy flash to warn them that their lights are off. Make sure you share this information with all your friends and family who are drivers.

I don't know that I would stop, but I try to not make a practice of stopping on the side of road.

And I flashed my lights at some guy just last week. Life's too short to live in fear. Using common sense is one thing, but living in fear... No, thank you.

Urgh. I'm not going to live my life worrying about something that has literally never happened to anyone, ever. It's like never opening your front door because a spam email warns you that people will knock on your door and lure you outside with a lonely kitten so they can steal your TV.

Am not saying I wont do a thing. As I will! Just that I will *take precautions* not to stop where it's dark or heavily wooded where there's no one around to see if anything happens to me! You're a guy, it's easier for you to stop and defend yourself. The *street smart* thing to do would be to stop where there's light, more open and call the police and report it. Surely in this time nowadays with lots of crooks everywhere- I wouldn't be falling for those kinds of traps if ever it happens.

If you watch FBI files, Cold case and read police reports- Those types of things happen too

To a minority. I just don't agree with these scare tactics to try and make people question everything they do. There is more than enough to be afraid of in this world without trying to add very unlikely scenarios to it.

Also, I thought Cold Case was fictional? Is it a reality show?

....and you know this for certain? That it's never happend to anybody? Nobody has ever been tricked to stop for the wrong reasons? Ever? Really?

....and it's nothing like never opening your front door, because not one person here said anything even remotely close...lol..we're not gonna stop driving, we're just talking about being careful, that's all.
