What school lunches look like in 20 different countries

I lol'd at the first picture for the US. Three carrot slices.. *sigh* :p

France food looked amazing to me. The whole article was a slap in the face. One school lunch is about my entire food intake for a day or two =/

The thing about the french food- it is actually like that!

I lived in France for a summer and where I lived had a cafeteria for us "students," and I swear they must have been taking pictures at the place where I stayed!

I totally ate a plate full of fries a few times too since there wasn't anything else that looked edible.

None of the School lunches I've had have looked anything like the ones they showed for America, to be honest I think they only posted the absolute worst looking ones they could find, lunches at every school I've been to were actually pretty good.

Swedish kids get booze on there's, what a lucky bunch.

And the very best from other countries.

Italian school dinners might look like that in the south, but not in the North.

Hard to believe the food served in our schools has not changed since I was in school. I remember those yeast rolls which some days were the only thing edible on the plate. Kids fought over the fried chicken because that seemed the only thing they cooked well you could identify. We knew we were eating garbage when we had fried mystery meat, followed by hamburgers, followed by spaghetti and then chili. I doubt they threw away much which was not on a child's plate and thrown away by the child. I still can't eat instant mashed potatoes.
