My neighbor who moved in about 9 months ago has two of these:

Last week he added a third. They bark 24/7. Did I mention I work from home? Time of year I like to open my windows but the constant barking drives me stark raving batty.
 
I would call and complain. Or nicely tell your neighbor bark collars are good things. If you are really desperate, go in 1/2 with him for the price.

My two dogs bark if they hear other dogs barking and when Joe or I or a visitor comes to the house. But luckily, I own the duplex I am in and the one next to it so my renters can't really complain ;)

But I'll be glad when we move to the property and they have a whole acre to run around and bark on :)
 
I'd politely ask him whether he can do something about it first, then go from there. He might be apologetic and try to sort it out, or he might be rude and dismissive and then you'd need to start talking about laws and so on.

I'd try and be nice about it first though, they probably don't realise that you're at home or how far the sound carries.
 
hmmmm that's rough doll. Unfortunately, I don't think that there's anything you can do. Usually it's only a matter for the police if it's happening after 10 pm or something, not sure of the time...other than that there's really not too much you can do about dogs barking. Can you tell that I've been where you are?...lol..it sucks but unless you become very chummy with the neighbor in question and talk them into buying muzzles....lol..or get a bunch of neighbors together to sign a petition....your hands are pretty much tied. Sorry...at least that's how it works around here, maybe you should look into it and see if there's something you can do, short of shooting them of course..lol Good luck.
 
I hate dog/neighbor issues. I knew someone who had a coon hound - he'd leave him out all day while he worked - well one day his neighbor had had enough of the barking and my friend came home to his dog hung on the fence - I know it's a terrible story, but I can understand how the neighbor totally lost it - people need to understand - if you wanted to hear 3 dogs barking all day long - you'd get your own.

and don't get me started on people who don't pick up after their dogs - hanging would be too good for them :willy_nilly:
