Hate is a strong word

Throughout your life have you found yourself hating anyone or just disliking some people. The word hate, to me, is an awfully strong word. Though I have hated some people for their actions in the past. Now I just dislike people who act like asses. Actually I feel sorry for them is more how I feel. I figure that some people just can't help being who they are.

So have you ever hated someone in your childhood up to how old you are now?

I can say i don't like some people but you right hate is a very strong word to use.. so mostly i say i don't like someone ..

I prefer to not say hate someone from childhood as we were young and most people i have not seen in years
but i can easy say i hate my inlaw and :D and my husband sisters.. i know some people here will think most of the people don't like the relatives the person are with but not that reason a lot happen... there is reason why..

I try not to let people bring out those feelings in me. I really have disliked many people in all the years I've been around. Few I have hated. Like I still hate my daughters father and there are reasons for that just as I still hate my brother. But I have tried to turn that hate around into just disliking them. And for the most part it's worked for me.

I should add that even though I try not to hate people I truly do DESPISE Todd Duffee with every fiber of my being, if him and everyone he loves were to die a horrible death right this very second I would not care in the least.

hate really eats the hater. good for you
Yes it does and it's never made me feel better by hating anyone. That's why I try to blow off a lot of things that people say or do now that I'm older.

Despise? Is that worse than Hate?

I go by the dictionary definition which is an intense dislike

I do not see anything wrong with that

Not sure if I hate anybody as I am not sure about what I would define as intense
I would think that an intense dislike is hate. To me it sounds like it. :dunno
He is a FORMER UFC fighter, and I have hated him with the utmost passion since the first time I laid eyes on him, I could just TELL he was a piece of shit, and I have been proven right in the end :)
So you can feel hatred toward someone you don't know?

So you can feel hatred toward someone you don't know?

I think it's easier to feel hatred towards someone you don't know, for exactly that reason, you DON'T know them, say it's some entertainer/politician/etc. it's easy to hate them when all you see is them doing something on tv that you disagree with, when you actually know a person and talk to them regularly you can know that there is more to them than just the part you disagree with, that there are usually other qualities in this person that can make up for their bad qualities and make them at least bearable to be around, If I actually knew Todd Duffee personally maybe I wouldn't hate him, I don't know, it's easy to hate someone you've never met.

Well I can understand that to a point but I think that hating someone you know or talk to or see everyday is a lot easier because you around their behaviors moreso than someone you don't know personally. But i can see how easy it would be to have hatred towards anyones actions.

I have only hated two people in my entire life. I believe to really hate someone, you have to know them. I agree that hate is a strong emotion, but I think that in order to feel such an emotion, you must know someone. It would be shallow to hate someone without knowing them, in my opinion.

I have hated a couple people and probably always will... There is no forgiving certain things.. Sad but true..

Most people that I don't care for I ignore or cut out of my life.

But I do hate situations..
Yes as I do to but I'm working on not hating them. It really does eat you up when you hate someone. But some things are unforgivable but you can turn that hate around into a dislike I believe. And I agree I hate a lot of situations that I've come across too.
