It is hard to believe it has been 9 years. I was talking to my students about it and most of them were just babies at the time! How weird. It was a terrible, awful day. However, I can't forget that feeling of unity after it happened. It was awesome how Americans came together and offered so much support.
Unfortunately I can not stop and take too much time to think about it. Today is the hubbub's birthday. He cares about what happened that day as much as the rest of us. However, sometimes you just want your birthday to be about you so that is what I am going to try to do for him.

I was about 13 when it happened.
I was about 12 when it happened and still remember the day quite vividly.
Wow i was 33 when I saw what happened. It's a lot different seeing it as an adult than seeing it as a child. We should focus on the lives lost and not the act itself...
9 years and im so over it! no one will forget and it was a horrible thing, but how can anyone move past it if its relived every.single.year!? all the memories of loss drug up AGAIN, all the images shown AGAIN and AGAIN.
Um....yes. That tends to happen when catastrophic world changing events occur.
I think it is extremely important to remember it every year. Yes, everyone who experienced it will remember. But what about the kids? It is important that they understand what happened as well.
We have the anniversary of 9/11 in remembrance of all the lives lost and the bodies of those who were never found. Like I said it's more of remembering all of the people who no longer are alive not the act itself...

It's a tragedy BUT I dunno why but i havea hard time grieving for people I don't know

Should never be forgotten. We have more images from it but we still commemorate other events from years ago. D-Day and Pear Harbor for example.
