I got some pretty decent pics of some birds this afternoon. If anyone can ID them for me, feel free to do so. I'm not as bird savvy as I used to be. :D

Pics 3-5 are some kind of sandpiper. I'm just not sure what species exactly. If I had to guess, I'd say the first two pics are of a tern, again not sure what species. Might be a juvenile too, which makes it more difficult to identify. I need to get a good field guide or else find a good website for such things.

The bird in the first pic is a Grey tailed finch

It is know for being a migratory songbird. Also, it is know for picking up small animals and using them in flocks to bombard larger prey. Thousands upon thousands of squirrels, mice, and kitten raining down upon cattle until they are bludgeoned to death. They than swoop down and eat the eyes of the cattle and nothing more......or it could be some other bird....

nice pic btw

The last one is a duck. LOL! :D

Great shots though!!! :thumbup
Sorry to disappoint you but it's not a duck. It's an American Coot. :D They don't quack btw... the make a clicking noise. They are also very opportunistic and will harrass ducks to no end for their food.

I think pics # 3 + 4 are Solitary Sandpipers but I'm not 100 % sure. Sandpipers can be very difficult to id because so many species have numerous similarities.
