I've only been out fishing a couple of times when I was in Australia, which I enjoyed, nothing more relaxing that sitting on a boat all day, drinking beer and then eating your catch in the evening. I caught Australian bass one day and yellowbellies the other.
We used to go fish a lot when I was younger but we were never after anything in particular.
Definitely love fishing. I typically go for Walleye or Bass. But lets me honest. If the fishing day isn't going so well we'll take whatever we can catch...hahaha
Well obviously not crappie or any other nasty bottom feeder.
I have never been deep sea fishing. I have fished a few piers in the gulf of mexico but mostly freshwater fishing for me.
Mmm been forever since I fished. I <3 Bass!
You use live grasshoppers? They are the best!
Nah, that was just on a little boat on a lake. Would like to go deep sea fishing sometime though, some of my friends have been a few times but I've just never got around to it.
That was a big deal when I was a kid to fish all day and fry our catch over a campfire at night.
Crappie are not bottom feeders to my experience. Now catfish are another story. I have never fished waters with walleye but I have heard they are tasty. I have actually caught carp just for the sport.
EEK I meant carp...I think I typed crappie cuz you did and wasn't thinking when I typed.
I like fishing with artificial instead of live bait mostly. I have drowned a few crickets over the years. Nothing like dropping a cricket in a bluegill bed using a flyrod.
Ohh you fly fish.Bryan's granpa makes his own lures... he make a horse fly one once, with a very small wooden horse on the lure he carved. :24:
I have never tried flytying. With my eyesight it would be a challenge without a real good set-up with magnifier.
I own 6 flyrids & reels.
2-#4 set-ups
3-#6 set-ups
1-#8 set-up
