Even a Canucks fan??? ESPECIALLY a Canucks fan! At least, the ones I know... :24: My Dad is a Leafs fan and he's constantly proposing fake trades like that. :rolleyes: If I didn't have a thing for Stajan I'd be finding the closest bridge right now. :ninja Good night! I can't believe Sutter traded Phaneuf. He's had a man-crush on Phaneuf since he drafted him.

He is a Leafs fan..

My Dad is a Habs fan and they have done crap this year so he is always telling me the Nucks are trading players their ways.. :24::24:

Rumour were yesterday that Leafs wanted both Sedins twins ( Canucks played Leafs and came back to win ).. Burke wanted them real bad.. Problem is we ain't stupid and they are REAL hot right now.. Like we will give away hot players.. Who did Burke think he is dealing with wanting the Sedins.. The Flames.. :24::24::24::24::24:

Oh thank god he's gone!
I've been pushing for his trade for 3 years now. Fanoof is a about as useful as tits on a board.
Now let's see how Stajan works out.

I watched Sportsnet yesterday and they talked about this trade.. The consensus was that Calgary would end up the long term winners of this trade..

That said, it's not like these guys have a 100% batting average on deals.. :24::24:

They are after all the leg arm of TSN ( Toronto Sports Network ).. :D

Looks like the deal never happened late last nite..

It is expected that Olli Jokinen will be in the Calgary Flames' lineup when they play tonight in Calgary against the Philadelphia Flyers. Brandon Prust may also be in the lineup but it could be Brian McGrattan instead.

In any case, it is clear that the deal that looked on Sunday night as though it was agreed to - Jokinen and Prust to the New York Rangers in exchange for Chris Higgins and Ales Kotalik - is not going to happen over the course of today.

In spite of his issues the last season or so, I've always liked Phaneuf because I like his style and he has the potential to be a top defenceman in the NHL. I've always had a thing for hard-hitting defenceman, though (I was a Gauthier fan too :ninja). However, I've heard rumblings that Phaneuf is an egocentric dressing room cancer and if that's true then I say don't let the door hit you on your way out. It's for that very reason I don't want Kovalchuk on the Flames. The guy has talent in spades but no character and that doesn't win you championships. I'm terribly chipper about Stajan. Seriously, you guys have no idea. I'm so chipper about him that I wouldn't mind if he wore #14 for the Flames. :willy_nilly::willy_nilly::willy_nilly:

Everyone has opinion on players but just like all other people, players can often change with the location IMO.. Give a player a new team and location and you have a totally new guy, sometimes good and sometimes no longer worth the money you pay him..

The only thing for sure is, only time will tell.
But I for one, am glad Fanooooof is gone.
Now to get rid of Joker for kovalik (SP) I'll be a happy camper.
And sorry for being late for the game :D
