Who watches...Zack Snyder?

I am in love with this graphic novel, one of the few that interested me long enough to read.

It is a story not of personal empowerent but of the poeple who would empower themselves. I recently saw the movie and it was so shitty I could hardly breathe. 300 was a cocksucker movie simply for how ridiculous it was, but atleast the style fit the mood.

IZack Snyder tried to do the same thing with Watchmen the he did in 300, not realizing that slow motion and shittiness doesn't account for taste.

Has anyone else seen this movie, and if so, can they please tell me what you've thought of it, and don't be afraid to use profane language.

Interesting post. I have Watchmen, the GN sitting at home waiting to be read until I finish catching up with 40 years of X-Men (currently on 1967). I saw 300, and while it had some intriguing aspects, I am VERY picky about movies completely filmed on a sound studio with 100% CGI backgrounds. Mostly I hate them as I hated Sin City even though I did like The Crow (which was heavy into CGI background). Movies that I find worthy find a place in my library. 300 is not there. I take it I should read the Watchmen graphic novel before watching the movie, or vice a versa? :)

I watched half of the movie then had to do something. Looks great though. I'm inspired to read the graphic novel before I finish watching the movie though.

300 was not badass.

if you go back and watch that omvie closely, you'll realize that even the up-close battles were almost all CGI, including the people.

And that the movie sucked.

and
i find it interesting that you mentioned The Crow, above all things. Here's my little chart of how that goes:

1.) The Crow- CGI backrounds wierd, but esy to swallow down. You don't even have to swallow. It goes own easy.

2.) Sin Cit- Hm, okay, good movie, intruigining, but the swallowing has commenced.

3.) 300- A total non-stop, on your knees, suck-fest.

4.) Watchmen- Put it in my ass, Zack!

i guess a ten foot long penis on the big screen doesn't count when you are a fellow man???

300 is one of the most overrated films ever made, it was somewhat entertaining but it was not at all worthy of all the praise it got.

not my thing, I've never really seen a Superhero movie I've liked, I'm mainly into Horror and Westerns.

Now that I think about it I liked a few of the Batman movies, Danny Devito was awesome as the Penguin.

that's true.

Watchmen isn't like the typical superhero movies anyway though, it kinda has it's moments, but in the end it's more realistic and shows how messed up the world really is. that's another one of the reasons I enjoyed it!
