I actually bought an annual pass yesterday so i expect to be going quite often. My goal is to get the " right " Grizzly, Wolf and a couple of raptor shots. If I accomplish that I'll be happy.

In the mean time here's a lousy shot of the lions. The chain link fence shows up slightly in the foreground but there isn't any way around it without getting eaten.

A fairly decent shot of a Harris's Hawk. It's the only hawk with a head that resembles an eagle.

Your zoo seems more rustic than the Detroit Zoo

I had not thought about a season pass. That might be worth it for me. I do not have the wildlife like you have. We have some places one can catch a deer. But it takes a ton of patience and this type A does not have that

Take a ride out my way..... people are catching a deer just about every day on the highways. Just sayin'..... :nod:

If you want to take a picture before the catch...... plenty of places to see them around here too. A State Game area is right at the end of my road. Wear bug repellent.

The Zoo is only 5 minutes from work

It really isn't a very good zoo but where else are you going to see such critters.

I wasn't very fond of zoos and probably still am not but they do serve a useful purpose I suppose. It's taken ions for me to understand if it were not for zoos there would be quite a few more species extinct and nobody would ever have the chance to see the alive.

I bought the pass mainly because I'm bored driving around the same 150 sq. miles, walking the same parks, ponds etc. shooting the same 'ol stuff all the time. I hate taking pics of people unless they are candid shots in a skid row area but that's getting a bit dangerous. They been stealing cameras lately. I want to spend more time going other places but time is something I seem not to have a lot of. Bla.... bla... bla...
