Still got some around but haven't had a deck for a few years, keeping one of them as it could be worth a bit, a white label promotional 7inch by Heavy Stereo, one of the guys is now in Oasis.

My Dad has about 2400 LPs in a back room.

Just quietly, been valued at about NZ$30,000. There is some very rare stuff I think.

I have hundreds of vinyls. I love it, it's hard to beat that sound. CD's made music sterile to me. I mean I know you gotta change with the times, but I love me some vinyl.

I have quite a few, some I have borred from my dad, others I have bought myself.

To me, modern vinyl is pointless, CD quality is just as good and more conveniant.

However, vinyl of records from the era when vinyl was king are the best, albums that were designed to fit onto to two 30 min approx sides just don't translate the same way on CD imo.

edit: also these remastered cd versions of old albums seem always to add "bonus" tracks on the end. Which just ruins the flow of the album completely.

sometimes CD's are better. I have a fairly high end stereo set up and even with cushions I can only play vinyl to a certain level or I get feedback due to the bass.

I also noticed on a few songs I downloaded years ago that digital versions of old songs had some things that stood out. Almost like they were remixes. Very subtle. Most would not notice unless they had played the song a lot prior.

Hundreds, many of them are no longer available to buy & I aint gettin' rid of any of them. I have copied some of them by using a program that converts Vinyl to MP3.

i have a huge box of them in the basement...some are the VERY old glass made ones...the ones that if you handle too roughly with they break. They belonged to my mum and dad, but when those two broke ties they didn't want to share so the judge ordered them given to me...lmao hahahaha
