anybody know a good steak marinade recipe??

I have a piece of meat that needs some tenderizing.

Need something simple. Don't want to have to go out and get stuff to make it. Don't have any wine and no lemon. I gather you need something acidic to help break down the meat fibers. This meat is not that bad but it could be quite a bit more tender than it is.

I've used orange juice, but I had peppers and onions to oppose the sweetness. If you had Worcheshire sauce, that's always good in a pinch. You need a little oil of some sort too.

Thats all I can think of.

My mother used Worcestershire, lemon juice, onions, minced garlic, and wine...she lets them sit in the marinade for several hours (usually marinades in the morning and cooks them for dinner).
