Advertisements?

Just wondered what the general rules are on Advertising on these forums? What is it okay to Advertise and what is it not okay to advertise?

Basically... a few of my friends have spent the last 2/3 years creating an online game. It's free to play... and it's lots of fun. Just wondered if it would be against forum rules to advertise it on here? ... I don't expect many people to want to play it. As I'm unsure who's really into online games here!

Thought I'd ask before I post anything :] I'm happy to post more information if anyone is interested.

Really lol? ... I'm pretty sure they would be willing to pay if necessary in the long run it could benefit this forum also!

Because we currently have a forum set up... Dedicated to the online game they made. If things work out and we'd be able to advertise it here. The 50 odd active forum users we have would obviously turn to this forum for a social experience!

Oh yeh don't get me wrong, I wouldn't ever want to be associated with a forum that Advertises companies and stuff like that. But this is mearly an online game... which is kept within a medium size community. It'll only have say 50 - 100 players on it a day!

It may not even appeal to anyone hear, but if I get permission then I can post pictures of the game in motion and that.

I'd fully understand if the idea gets rejected. Just thought that there was no harm in asking :]

Okay thanks. I will wait definetly... but I can near enough guarantee that it wont cause any disturbance on these forums.
